Vacation Rental Coconut Cabana
Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas
This is my wife and I's second trip into Green Turtle Cay. Last year we were there only two days and what we saw
interested us in coming back for a week to further explore GTC and the surrounding area. Coconut Cabana exceeded
Cabana again, but hopefully even longer. It is a very comfortable house for two couples that made up our party this
year, with a comfortable living area and kitchen as we cook in a lot on our Bahamian vacations. We found the rooms
and the bedding very comfortable as well. We play hard all day and want a comfortable place to eat and sleep and we
were not disappointed. We used Kool Karts for a golf cart and it just so happens they are also the caretakers and we
called them when we were about 15 minutes out on the vhf and they met us at the house with the cart and the house
keys and paperwork - very convenient. The house has a nice new dock that accommodated our 28' center console just
that we listened to.
Owner response:Thank you, Boaterholic. We were glad we could accommodate your 28' boat. This house is very easy
to get to and we try to make your arrival as smooth as possible. See you again soon, Eli and Di

and great screen porch facing the marina. plan to stay here again next year. most of the time whenyou rent something
on the internet, never as good as you hoped but coconut cabana better than expected!!!!
Owner response:Thank you Doc, for the review. We do hope to hear from you again. You will receive the same special
treatment the second time as you did the first. Thank you for renting from us. Eli and Di

Great Vacation at the Coconut Cabana

We had two families, each with our teenage son. The women flew to Treasure Cay and took the ferry over to Green
Turtle Cay, and the men sailed in from Florida. The Coconut Cabana was the perfect getaway for us to enjoy our time
on Green Turtle Cay. The two master suites at opposite ends of the home were very spacious, and had a nice
rainshower shower in each. The living space also was very nice, with a kitchen that was easy to use. The walkaround
patio out back was nice to sit and watch the boats come and go. As you leave the patio towards the water you cross a
nice yard sloping down toward the water and the private dock for the house. We used the dock at the Bluff House
Marina, which is literally right next door and steps away. That dock was deeper which was required for our sailboat.
The Bluff House Marina dock also starts right at the end of the yard of the Coconut Cabana. We we walk down to the
dock and then go the Bluff House Marina to use the pool, and sit by the outdoor bar and have conversations with also
very good, and fairly reasonably priced. They were just under new management and these folks are trying to really
improve the place. I suggest you open a credit account with them like we did so yo ujust have to sign while you stay at
the Coconut Cabana, and then settle up at the end of your trip. The Coconut Cabana was well prepared for us the one
day it rained, and biy did it rain hard. There was water getting into the house in a few spots, but nothing
unmanageable. We spent the day using the video library Eli and Di have there. We caught up on some ond Clint
Eastwood movies. The TV also has Dish Network, so we could watch our Dallas Mevericks during the championship
series, so you are definitely able to keep up with the outside world if you so wish. We would definitely return to the
Coconut Cabana again, and I highly recommend it! Art Segovia

We really enjoyed our time at the Coconut Cabana Guest House. We found it to be clean, inviting and very
comfortable. The owner thought of so many details to make our stay more wonderful. We loved having a dock and
rented a boat for our stay. We also really enjoyed the many amenities of the Bluff House Marina next door. The Green
Turtle Club was just a short golf cart ride away and offered excellent food and service as well.Having the white sand
beach so close was an added bonus. We would definetly recommend staying here!!
Owner response:Dear Barb, Thank you so much for the review and for the reservation for next year 2012. I am very
glad you can stay for 6 weeks this time. 3 weeks was just too short to totally relax. We will see you in February. Eli and
Di

great little harbor
Brownie Cincinnati, Ohio
Review Submitted: October 14, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
The best thing about it was the combination of privacy while being able to look our on a beautiful little harbor and see
boats passing by. There are two private master bedrooms at opposite ends of the house (from which you don't see
the harbor) but, in between, a shared living space and porch where you feel like a part of the harbor. So you can get
away to opposite ends of the house and privacy or be together will something to see. It is more of a cozy place than
expansive but more than large enough for two couples or a small family. The "town" is more a grouping of newer
houses around the harbor. Local flavor is in a town several miles (by golf cart) away. No monuments or historical
sights but the snorkeling is fantastic.
